Renewable energy and power transmission projects, such as solar farms, powerlines, and onshore wind farms, are particularly sensitive to visual impact due to their scale and visibility in the landscape. This lightning talk introduces a workflow developed by Umwelt: Environmental and Social Consultants, leveraging Cesium and open data to rapidly produce high-quality, accurate 3D visualizations of these projects which provideaccurate view lines to the proposed developments. These visualizations help stakeholders understand potential visual impacts, facilitating better decision-making and community engagement.
