Liberiamo il maschile | Giacomo Zani | TEDxPutignano

Viviamo in una società in cui il modello di maschile è predefinito, fatto di stereotipi, regole, doveri e privilegi, tant’è che spesso sentiamo dire ‘fare l’uomo’ oppure ‘essere veri uomini’. Ma cosa vogliono dire esattamente queste frasi, e soprattutto, è possibile ripensarle? Giacomo Zani, fondatore insieme ad altri ragazzi del collettivo Mica Macho, ci guida alla scoperta di un maschile diverso, privo di tossicità e standard costrittivi, utile a formare e scoprire gli uomini di domani, liberandosi di ciò che ha caratterizzato il passato.

We live in a society where masculinity is a predefined concept, made of stereotypes, rules, duties and privileges; indeed, we often hear the sentence “behave like a man” or “be a true man”. But what do these sentences really mean? Is it possible to redefine them? Giacomo Zani, founder together with other men of the platform Mica Macho, shows us how we can give another meaning to the male sphere, one without toxicity and restraining standards, one where we can educate and discover the men of tomorrow by getting rid of past models unfortunately still in use today. He studied Economics for Arts, Culture and Communication at the Bocconi University in Milan. He is passionate about the world of communication and social network, that’s why he worked as strategist in several agencies. In 2020 he decides to found Mica Macho, an online community that works towards changing the perceptions on gender roles and challenging the model of toxic masculinity.
