Kimjang is the Korean tradition of making kimchi for winter. Traditionally, families would salt mountains of cabbage and store them in earthenware jars (jangdokdae) outside the house.
I don’t have a jangdokdae or a big family gathering, but I still wanted to enjoy my own mini kimjang day. In this video, I make:
• Altari kimchi (small radish kimchi)
• Pogi kimchi (whole napa cabbage kimchi)
• Pork suyuk two ways (no-water version and oven-roasted)
Even if you live alone or cook for just 1–2 people, you can still enjoy the feeling of kimjang season at home.
