High-speed drifter caught on dashcam dangerously weaving through Melbourne traffic.
March 30, 2015: The driver whose irresponsible behaviour defies belief. On A Current Affair, exclusive vision shows a high-speed driver drifting from one lane to another at dangerously high speeds.
Victoria police are on the hunt for a driver captured on dashcam dangerously drifting in heavy peak hour traffic on Melbourne's West Gate Bridge.

The incident, which occurred at about 8am on Tuesday, March 17, was captured on a truck drivers' dashcam, with the truckie hearing the roar of the high-speed car before actually seeing it.

The Toyota Sprinta AE86 is first captured on the far right-hand lane, before deliberately drifting across four lanes of traffic, continuing back and forth across the entire length of the West Gate Bridge.

It continues down the freeway for at least 10km, at times coming close to colliding with other vehicles.

Trailing close behind is its support car - a red Nissan Silvia S13, with a passenger's hand seen out the window filming the joy ride.

There are no number plates on either vehicles, indicating it was a planned stunt.

"This is actually the worst thing I've ever seen in my whole life of driving," said truck driver Scott, whose surname has been withheld, told A Current Affair.

Scott has been a truck driver for 15 years and said what he saw was "stupid, idiotic, and unbelievable dangerous."

The high speed antics almost caused a smash.

At one point in the video a grey vehicle focused on the action makes a sudden swerve towards an exit, seemingly unaware that Scott's 30-tonne truck is right behind.

Victoria police hope the public can help locating the high-speed drifter.

"We're very confident that with the help of the public we can locate this driver, we can identify him, we can charge him with the appropriate offences and we can get him off the road," Inspector Simon Humphrey told A Current Affair.
