Always thought it was interesting how Marka Ragnos basically developed a potential rival for Sith Emperor Vitiate during this time, had Exar Kun not been defeated.
Though, perhaps he wasn't really intending for Exar Kun to succeed, particularly anyway. The most important part of Exar Kun's legacy, is that what truly made the Sith immortal:
They would forever rise again, even when destroyed by the Jedi, from within their sworn enemies and its order.
