Randolph Bell receiving his MS (multiple scoliosis) diagnose. After finding out he tells his girlfriend (Kit Voss) and his step-son (Jake ) about the diagnosis, they both are determined to help. Overwhelmed he leaves and let them talk. After a while Randolph meets the two of them in Kits office and they talk about a treatment plan, Bell tells Jake he needs to talk to kit alone. Bell continues to express the fear he has for his diagnosis and how he cant risk operating. He also tells kit that he doesn’t want her to have to look after him if he gets sicker, although she doesn’t mind. He break’s up with her. Kit struggles to accept the fact of Randolph ending their relationship, leaving her to walk around the parade completely out of it. Although when Conrads kid (Gigi) gets scared of the paper dragon and runs away, Sammie (Bells granddaughter) chases after her. As both disappear the staff go on a search to find them. Soon enough Kit finds the two girls sat together on a beanbag, Sammie is reading a book called ‘Runaway Bunny.’ to Gigi. Kit overhears the story and is inspired. Kit visits Randolphs office full of determination. He listens to her speech and lets his walls come down.
