Also known as Tzourtzia, a vlacho village, perched on the slopes of Tzoumerka. 96 km from Trikala and a short distance from the "Three Rivers" is the vlacho village Agia Paraskevi, perched on the treeless slopes of Tzoumerka at an altitude of 950 m and above the central bed of Achelou. The wild beauty of the landscape, with the main element being Acheloos and the ravine it has formed, as well as the layout of the settlement, are the natural advantages of Agia Paraskevi. Above it, the peaks of Paletzi (1,800 m.), Five Towers (2,000 m.) and Katarachia (2,299 m.), a natural border with the pastures of Matsoukios Ioannina, give the landscape the feeling of the absolute. The beauty of the peaks is complemented by the gurgling waters of the springs Luni, Sekha, Graikou, Hassani, Bandi and Djurtsano, Godisoro (Vlach: in front of the sun), some inside the settlement and others at an altitude of 1,700 and 1,900 m, which form mountain torrents and even a 12 m high waterfall, the "Madani of the Devil", in the "Livadia" location ". In the center of the village there is the traditional mountain square with the huge sycamore tree in the middle and the church of Agia Paraskevi, of exceptional continental art, dated 1896. Other churches are of Ag. Georgiou of the 18th century, of Ag. Marina of 1902, of Ag. Apostles and Prophet Elias. In the center of the village there are also both schools, the old one and the new one, which was built in 1872. The village has about 550 houses. The oldest ones are stone-built of Epirus art. Here too the aesthetics of stone prevails, even though modern materials have been added to several houses of the settlement. In the center of the village dominates the I. N. of Agia Paraskevi (1896) which, according to tradition, was built on the site of an older one. Before 1790, the foundation of the stone-built I. N. Agios Georgios is also estimated, while the chapel of Agia Marina at the beginning of 1900. The former Assumption Monastery, built on the passage to Epirus, was according to tradition the occasion for the creation of the village because its position, the vast pastures and the good weather conditions favored the development of the land Tzourtzia is a Vlach village and its inhabitants are bilingual. Vlach and Greek are spoken at the same time. Culturally (songs, dances, textiles, architecture, morals and customs, occupations, etc.) it belongs to Epirus.
A special element of its culture is its cultural Association with the name "Friendly Educational Brotherhood of Tzourtzia of Athamania", which was founded in 1893 and is the oldest Vlach cultural Association, pioneering and democratic. In 2008, the precious archive of the Brotherhood was digitized by the Folklore Center of the Academy of Athens. The waterfall of Tzourtzia.

Near the village of Tzourtzia, we find the largest waterfall in the area, which the locals call "The Devil's Mandani". Its height exceeds 15 meters and it is located at an altitude of 1000 meters. Also, we should mention that its approach is of moderate difficulty (time approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes).

Γνωστή και ως Τζούρτζια, βλαχοχώρι, σκαρφαλωμένο στις πλαγιές των Τζουμέρκων.96 χλμ. από τα Τρίκαλα και σε μικρή απόσταση από τα «Τρία Ποτάμια» βρίσκεται το βλαχοχώρι Αγία Παρασκευή, σκαρφαλωμένο στις άδενδρες πλαγιές των Τζουμέρκων σε υψόμετρο 950 μ. και πάνω από την κεντρική κοίτη του Αχελώου. Η άγρια ομορφιά του τοπίου, με κύριο στοιχείο τον Αχελώο και τη χαράδρα που έχει σχηματίσει καθώς και η διάταξη του οικισμού είναι τα φυσικά πλεονεκτήματα της Αγίας Παρασκευής. Την ομορφιά των κορυφών συμπληρώνουν τα γάργαρα νερά των πηγών Λούνι, Σέχα, Γκραίκου, Χασάνη, Μπάντι και Τζούρτσανο, Γκοντισόρο (βλάχικα: μπροστά στον ήλιο) άλλες μέσα στον οικισμό κι άλλες σε υψόμετρο 1.700 και 1.900 μ., που σχηματίζουν ορεινούς χειμάρρους ακόμα και καταρράκτη ύψους 12 μ., το «Μαντάνι του Διαόλου», στη θέση «Λιβάδια».Στο κέντρο του χωριού υπάρχει η παραδοσιακή ορεινή πλατεία με τον τεράστιο πλάτανο στη μέση και την εξαιρετικής ηπειρώτικης τέχνης εκκλησία της Αγίας Παρασκευής με χρονολογία 1896. Στο κέντρο του χωριού επίσης υπάρχουν και τα δύο Σχολεία, το παλιό και το καινούργιο, το οποίο χτίστηκε το 1872. Το χωριό αριθμεί 550 περίπου σπίτια. Η Τζούρτζια είναι βλαχοχώρι και οι κάτοικοί της δίγλωσσοι. Τα βλάχικα και τα ελληνικά μιλιούνται παράλληλα. Πολιτιστικά (τραγούδια, χοροί, υφαντά, αρχιτεκτονική, ήθη και έθιμα, ασχολίες κ.λ.π. ) ανήκει στην Ήπειρο.Κοντά στο χωριό Τζούρτζια συναντάμε τον μεγαλύτερο καταρράκτη της περιοχής τον οποίο οι ντόπιοι ονομάζουν “Το μαντάνι του Δαίμονα”. Το ύψος του ξεπερνά τα 15 μέτρα και βρίσκεται σε υψόμετρο 1000 μέτρων. Επίσης, θα πρέπει να αναφέρουμε ότι η προσέγγιση του είναι μέτριας δυσκολίας (χρόνος περίπου 1 ώρα και 30 λεπτά).
