Zambia has 72 ethnic groups and over 200 chiefs spread across these groups. Many host Chief ceremonies, celebrating their unique culture. These are highlights of the Bene Mukuni Traditional Ceremony that was held a few weeks back by the Leya people in our chiefdom near the Victoria Falls to honor Chief Mukuni. These events serve to affirm cultural identity, pass on traditions, and acknowledge the authority of traditional leaders through ritual, dance, and community gathering. The ceremony was attended by thousands of people, and many other chiefs attended also. Its a massive celebration of dance, music and storytelling. We had a blast & we attend every year as support to our chief.
