Are you looking for ways to drive traffic to your #blog?
Ben Kazinik shares three main ways to do that.
The first one is online communities.
I think that the most powerful way to do that is basically going on any online community you find, whether that's Facebook Groups or Slack channels or any kind of forums, and sharing interesting things from your blog.
Share your original research, and share your blog posts. Or even just ask questions and then write blog posts as answers to those questions.
That's the most powerful way to build an actual community that will bring traffic to your new blog.
The second way is social media.
Definitely share your blog on social, share what you're doing, connect with other influencers in your niche or industry, and share your blog post with them.
The third is organic search.
SEO is definitely a huge channel, especially for blogs. After communities and social media, SEO is probably the number one way to drive traffic to your blog.
Social media might not work as well in the beginning, or might get actually more traffic than organic search, but organic search is more evergreen.
So, create posts the right way, optimize them for search engines, and you will get a ton of traffic.
What I would do is first start at the bottom of the funnel.
Get those keywords that either describe exactly what you do, like if you're an online community tool, write a post on that, on the keyword "online community tool", and then optimize those and publish.
Do a content sprint, and publish 5-15 pages like that, and then see what happens.
Then, go to the middle of the funnel and actually answer questions that people might ask that relate to your tool.
To build a list of topics for this, ask yourself questions like:
What are the challenges of online community tools?
What are the things that your customers are looking to solve by using the tool that you have?
What are they looking to achieve by using your product or service?
And then work your way up once you develop the bottom to the middle of the funnel.
Work your way up to the top of the funnel and get a content calendar together.
Schedule and publish a set amount of posts; the more, the better, every month.
But do it without sacrificing quality – you will see a huge uplift in traffic if you do it the right way.
