The British born Graham Nash OBE has spent most of his life as an American musician, singer and songwriter.
After co-founding the Hollies with school friend Allan Clarke in the early 1960’s Graham along with Allan and Guitarist Tony Hicks formed Gralto Music Ltd in 1965. This was a publishing company which later went on to sign a young Reg Dwight (aka Elton John) who played piano and organ on Hollies 1969 and 1970 recordings.
After meeting David Crosby and Stephen Stills during a Hollies tour of America in 1966 Graham eventually left the Hollies to form a new group with them which started as a trio but, later became a quartet in 1969 with Neil Young joining.
Both the trio and quartet had huge hits and Graham Nash was prolific in his songwriting contributions to the band and later his solo career.
This video was taken at a concert on Graham’s ‘More Evenings of Songs & Stories’ Tour at York Barbican on Sunday 5/10/2025.
It was a fantastic concert with the backing band being absolutely superb multi-instrumentalists as well as having great voices that captured the harmonies of Crosby, Stills and Nash recordings brilliantly.
This song ‘Our House’ was written by Graham in 1970 and appeared on the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young album ‘Déjà Vu’. Written about an outing with Joni Mitchell where they bought a vase at an antique shop then went home and lit a fire.
Enjoy the Music.
Big Love ❤️ to All.
