My Amplified Bible has an interesting header for Matthew 6:25–34: "The Cure for Anxiety."
For someone who struggles with letting God take care of them, I’ve realized that we easily create idols out of people, things, and even ourselves—anything to give us a sense of control. But God wants to be trusted, and time and time again, He shows that He takes care of us far better than we ever could. He wants us to leave these things to Him and not tear ourselves apart over them, as the pagans do. Our responsibility is to trust God, not the idols we create through worry, and He is always faithful to provide for our needs.
