Amongst the bells, ringers and church: Foots Cray

In this video we go amongst the tiny and compact five at Foots Cray and also above the church in a new twist I am hoping to put into more videos. Really pleased to have made this video because I have wanted to obtain footage of these for a long while. Hopefully the results have brought them out well, if the audio is a bit tinny in places.

All footage was taken during the district practice, including a variety of doubles and call changes. Grandsire, Call Changes and Stedman feature in this video. The first touch features Stedman, the second touch features Grandsire.

Surprisingly, the belfry is very well lit with access to the belfry up a ladder or two, in what is know by some as the garden shed on the roof. Space is of course at a bit of premium, but surprisingly accessible.

Once settled to a rather distinct pace, they are a joy to ring, however, they take a bit of getting used to at first and are rather oddstruck in places. Must admit a 1ft handstroke on the treble took a bit by surprise at first.
