When I first watched Coco, I cried. Seeing my culture and traditions represented on the big screen for the first time made me so proud. The colors, the marigolds, the papel picado, the food on the altar… it all felt so real and so beautiful. It reminded me of my own family, our ofrendas, and the way we honor our loved ones in spirit every year.
