कथा प्रेमाच्या (अलका कुबल) भोवती फिरते, जी तिच्या पती चंद्रकांत (अशोक शिंदे) सोबत एक संयुक्त कुटुंबात राहते. त्यांचे उत्पन्न कमी असल्यामुळे, त्यांना घरात अपेक्षित सन्मान मिळत नाही. प्रेमाच्या सासूबाईंच्या वागणुकीमुळे आणि घरातील इतर सदस्यांच्या दुर्लक्षामुळे, तिच्या आयुष्यातील संघर्ष अधिक तीव्र होतो. चित्रपटात प्रेमाच्या आत्मसन्मानासाठीच्या लढ्याचे आणि कुटुंबातील नात्यांतील गुंतागुंतीचे चित्रण केले आहे.​ हा चित्रपट कुटुंबातील नातेसंबंध, स्त्रीचा आत्मसन्मान आणि सामाजिक मूल्यांवर प्रकाश टाकतो. संगीत नंदू होनप यांनी दिले आहे, जे कथानकाला भावनिक अधोरेखा प्रदान करते.

The story revolves around Prem (Alka Kubal), who lives in a joint family with her husband Chandrakant (Ashok Shinde). Due to their low income, they do not get the respect they deserve at home. Due to the behavior of Prem's mother-in-law and the neglect of other members of the household, the struggles in her life become more intense. The film depicts Prem's struggle for self-respect and the complexities of family relationships.
