story:

Hope is a downwolder and Cary is a shadowhunter and they are together. Hope has always been more into their relationship than Clary was, she was more free spirited and didn't really wanted commitment. Clary finds out about Hope's dad and tells Hope that she'll love her, no matter who her father was. They have a big fight after Hope finds a drawing about Jace in Clary's sketchbook, and gets jealous but Clary pushes that she's delusional, when in fact Clary did cheat on Hope with Jace. Not long after their break up Hope gets attacked by demons who work for her father and they kidnap her. Meanwhile when Clary finds out about this she was with Jace the whole time and reaizes that the one she loves and wants to be with is Hope. They have an emotional goodbye through the phone because Hope doesn't want to be her father's minion who wants her for her warlock powers, and she'd rather die than give what he wants. By the time Clary finds her, she dies while trying to get free from her father. Few years later one night they meet again, after she saves Clary because Hope made a deal with a demon prince to come back to life but it had a price, she doesn't have a soul anymore. Hope reveals Clary that she saw her and Jace kiss and that she feels betrayed by Clary and Jace so she decided to get revenge and make Clary suffer the worst way possible. Taking everything she's ever loved and cared about from her. Clary realizes that even tho she loves her and would do anything for her she's not the girl she fell in love with. She tries to kill her and put a spell on Hope so she'd be asleep until Clary finds a way to get Hope's soul back.
