Jevra, also known as Jewra or Jeora, is a village located in Barwala Tehsil of Hisar District in Haryana, India. Situated approximately 30 kilometers north of Hisar city, it falls under the Hisar Division. The village has a proud history, notably for producing gallantry-awarded defense personnel and martyrs, reflecting its residents' dedication to military service. Agriculture serves as the primary occupation for the inhabitants.Educational infrastructure in Jevra includes institutions like the Manav Institute, which has established a campus spanning 13 acres within the village. In January 2021, Jevra garnered attention when a local farmer, Gyani Ram, aged 67, passed away due to a heart attack during a tractor rally organized by various farm organizations from Barwala toll to the sub-divisional magistrate’s office in Barwala.The village is also associated with the Bhayan clan of the Jat community.
