the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad is a heritage railroad that offers special excursion trains along the Pacific Ocean coast out of the town of Garibaldi Oregon.
on June 8th 2025 we make our fourth annual visit to the railroad to once again follow their regular train to Rockaway Beach and to our delight, the train this time is pulled by their famous steam locomotive, no other than the McCloud River Railroad 25, a 1925 ALCO product, very fitting we see it this year as it’s now 100 years old!
let’s follow the steam special from Garibaldi to Rockaway Beach as we travel through some of the most scenic areas of the Oregon coast!
