Camerata Romeu - Classical Rooftop Concert

This all-female chamber orchestra is unique in both its repertoire and stage presence. Founded in Havana in 1993 by conductor Zenaida Romeu under the patronage of the Pablo Milanés Foundation, the group’s aesthetic mission is to honor and promote the musical creations of Latin American composers. Through the voice of the string orchestra, these works take on a new identity—creating a distinctively American sound within a Central European format. It is the first all-female string orchestra in Latin America.
