Tim Pedals Off On His Penny Farthing!

Tim demonstrates four of his favourite automata...

First, we have a children's character. Battery operated, it whizzes round in circles, chomping madly. We guess it must be to do with some kind of food or drink. Someone out there will know the answer!

Then a plush toy which is supposed to be a bat. When you tap it, it makes bat like sounds. Well, not exactly bat like, since humans can't normally hear bats. But it is certainly high pitched.

Then we have a baby owl. Switch it on, and it rocks from side to side, blinks its eyes, and chirps. Doesn't hoot yet. Maybe when it grows up.

Finally, an amazing toy. It says on the box 'Tim's Penny Farthing'. The cyclist is driven by an elastic band. Wind it up, and it then powers the cyclist as he cycles round in circles...!
