I got a PB while practicing Espgaluda II today! One of my goals for 2025 is to break 800 million points in this game.
I've been making it a habit to do a full run as warmup for each of my practice sessions. At the moment I'm mainly focusing on stage practice still, but I'm hoping to play this game at Shmup Slam this upcoming May so I want to be comfortable playing out full runs even if I haven't fully figured out my routes by then. Right now I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do in stages 1 and 3, but I'm still working out the kinks in my stages 2 and 4. And I haven't even started practicing stage 5 or 6 yet, so all my routes there are just carryover from when I played this game years ago.
Since I'm mostly focusing on practice right now, I'm not expecting to get too many PBs anytime soon, but it's encouraging to think about what kind of scores I can get once I figure out my patterns and if I can get a good end-of-game bonus! For now though I mainly just want to make sure I can convert each warmup run into a 1cc, so I don't choke at Shmup Slam lol.
