The Baby Bulkhead is a bucktail streamer pattern with a strong baitfish profile. The bulkhead way of tying means that this fly pushes a lot of water, but still has a decent sink profile.
Here, Fred Davis of Feathers and Fluoro ties the Baby Bulkhead, which he uses uses to target predatory fish such as queenfish, bream, garrick and more.
BABY BULKHEAD MATERIALS:
Hook: Any decent saltwater hook.
Thread: White or red.
Body: Bucktail, white and olive.
Tail: Lateral scale and grizzly hackle.
