00:58 First: The United State is restricting the movement of cows raised for their milk due to concerns about the spread of bird flu. The virus called Type A H5N1 has been found in over 30 different groups of cows across eight states. Dan Friedell and Ashley Thompson report.

The author hopes the work will bring more attention to native languages, many of which are dying. Dan Novak interviewed Santos and reports on his book, What Makes US Human. Then, Dan joins Ashley in the studio. She asks him for more details about the author and about UNESCO's involvement in the book.
