As we read chapter 13 of the Gospel of Luke, we find it begins right where chapter 12 left off, with Jesus continuing in his teaching and preaching. He then continues offending the the leader of the synagogue with healing on the Sabbath - which resulted in a "mic drop" moment for Jesus. Jesus continues with teaching about the Kingdom of God, and what is required to be a citizen there. This is sobering, as Jesus is clear that not all of us who think we will be accepted into the Kingdom of Heaven will find ourselves there. As important as our actions are, "being a good person" is not going to get us there. This grieves Jesus' heart, and chapter 13 closes with Jesus saying, "I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'"
