Julian Lamy, co-founder and chief technical officer at Powerline, discusses lessons you can’t learn in the classroom about real-world optimization of batteries and distributed energy resources. Prior to joining Powerline, an AI software platform for connecting EVs on the road to charging, Lamy founded a team to operate Tesla's global fleet of grid battery projects. He received a PhD in engineering and public policy from Carnegie Mellon University, and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from the University of Maryland.
