I finally played Paper Mario Color Splash. You shouldn't.

This video contains most or all of what's worth experiencing in Paper Mario Color Splash while being over 5 times shorter than actually playing the game :D

Paper Mario: Color Splash released for the Wii U in 2016 and it is a VERY interesting misstep. Sticker Star was widely hated for completely abandoning the series' roots, and Color Splash decided to take elements from that game and make them EVEN WORSE. They also made some parts better, but the final package reeks of missed opportunities, baffling design decisions, and just a little bit of spite towards the player. This is NOT a boring game. This is NOT a good game. However, it is a very fun game for all the wrong reasons... I streamed my first every playthrough of this game in the big 2025 and was shocked just how many things about the game I didn't know. This video is (in my humble opinion) the finest way to experience Color Splash: without actually playing it.
