Lt. Leonard Lomell was an Army Ranger that served during WWII. He recounts his experience during D-Day at Pointe du Hoc. He located and disabled the five guns positioned there. These guns were in range of both Utah and Omaha beaches, and threatened the Allied ships and landing craft as well.
He is introduced in this video by Col. Robert Black. Col. Black was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a teenager growing up during WWII and later became a historian with an interest in the Army Rangers.
