Dolce fine del mio cuore,
che non chiede di restare,
come neve che si scioglie
sul mattino senza sole.

Ah, sorriso che svanisce,
come un sogno sulla pelle.
Felice, sì, ma lento,
nel silenzio che rimane.

Pure il vento mi ricorda
il tepore della mano.
Ma la gioia è come l'onda:
viene, brilla, poi scompare.

Ah, felice e malinconico,
questo cuore mio riposa.
Non finisce—no—si spegne,
come un petalo di rosa.

風はまだ思い出させる—
その手のぬくもりを。
けれど喜びは波のように
訪れ、輝き、そして消える。

ああ、幸せでありながらもの悲しい、
わたしの心は今、休んでいる。
終わるのではなく—ただ静かに

Happiness is gentle, slow,
resting in the silence left behind.

Even the wind still reminds me
of the warmth of your hand.
But joy is like the wave:
it comes, it shines, then disappears.

Ah, happy and melancholic,
my heart now rests.
It does not end—no— it simply dims,
like the falling of a rose petal.
