Here is some footage from the National Equality March that took place in Washington, DC on October 11, 2009. What an amazing day! I marched with one of my closest friends from high school, Sally, and her wonderful husband, Ryan. We made posters, and had a fabulous time together. They live in DC, so they showed me the ropes, and it was a ball! Of course, they are fantastic allies to the LGBTQ community, and I am lucky to have them in my life.
I know the video is a bit (very) shaky, but I hope you enjoy it and can get a sense of what it was like to be inside the march if you were unable to attend!
