Join me behind the scenes as we prepare our handcrafted bo — harvested directly from my bamboo farm — for Port Harcourt’s first Okinawan Kobudo Course.
In this video, you’ll see the raw process of selecting, cutting, treating, and shaping bamboo into a traditional Okinawan bo (staff). There’s a unique connection that comes from training with a weapon made by your own hands — rooted in nature, infused with intention, and aligned with the spirit of Kobudo.
This preparation is part of our journey toward hosting Port Harcourt’s first-ever Okinawan Kobudo Course, led by Bamgboye Sensei (WSKF Vice President & Chief Instructor, WSKF Nigeria).
If you’re passionate about karate, traditional weapons, craftsmanship, or simply want to understand the deeper essence of Kobudo, this behind-the-scenes look is for you.
📍 Venue: Charlie’s Total Fitness Centre, Port Harcourt
🗓️ Date: 29 November 2025
