Brief, rare clips from the 50th anniversary of British speedway meeting held at Hackney in East London on a bitterly cold Sunday afternoon in February, 1978.
The first heat features the match-race between England captains past and present, Jack Parker (on a two-valve Jawa) and Malcolm Simmons (pre-war Douglas).
Next up is eventual meeting winner Michael Lee being passed by Eric Broadbelt - the only point the King's Lynn teenager dropped all day.
Lastly, enjoy the leg-trailing exploits of home favourite Barry Thomas adopting the spectacular style of the old-timers in pursuit of race winner Terry Betts.
