Understand how air handling units are typically set up and why correct mixed air temperatures are important. Outside air and return air make up your mixed air conditions prior to hitting, in this case, a cooling coil. For this example, mixed air temperature will be the “Entering Air Temperature, EAT” of your coil. “Leaving air temperature, LAT” is up to the designer. Typically that value is 49F off the coil for healthcare applications. Sometimes that value is 52F for office space applications. It is entirely up to the designer. Join me for cooling coil entering air conditions and finding cooling coil capacity requirements. #engineering #learning #hvac #cooling #coolingcoil #enteringair #leavingair #mixedair #mechanical #mechanicalengineering #mechanicaldesign #HVACdesign #airhandlingunit #ahu
