*Planning My Ascent:*

Timing is key for an Eiffel Tower experience. I knew I wanted to be at the top as the city lights began to twinkle. Sunset is the perfect time to visit, allowing you to witness the city in both its daytime splendor and its nighttime brilliance. However, this is also the most popular time, so booking tickets online well in advance is essential. I learned from my first trip and secured my tickets weeks prior.

The Climb (or the Lift?):

There are two ways to reach the top: by lift or by stairs. While the stairs offer a unique perspective and a bit of exercise, I opted for the lift, especially since I was aiming for the summit. The glass elevators offer stunning views as you ascend, and the anticipation builds with every floor.



Exploring the Floors:

My Eiffel Tower adventure began on the first floor. It offers interesting exhibits about the tower's history and construction. Then, I made my way to the second floor, a destination in itself. It boasts restaurants, shops, and observation decks offering panoramic views. I took my time here, soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying the bustling energy. There are even transparent sections of the floor, offering a thrilling view straight down.

To the Summit:

Finally, the moment arrived. I boarded the second lift that takes you to the very top. As we ascended, the city unfolded beneath us, a breathtaking panorama of lights. The summit itself is a relatively small space, but the feeling of being there, high above Paris, is truly extraordinary. I spent a good 1.5 hours there, enjoying the sunset and securing a prime spot for the light show.

As darkness enveloped the city, the Eiffel Tower began its dazzling light show. Every hour, on the hour, the tower sparkles and shimmers, a magical display that leaves everyone in awe. It's a truly unforgettable experience. After the light show, I descended back to the second floor for a delightful dinner at one of the restaurants. Dinner at the Eiffel Tower isn't just a meal; it's an experience. While the food (my meal cost around €70) was delicious, the real draw is the unparalleled view of Paris at night. It's a splurge, but it's worth it for the memories. Plus, dining on the second floor allows you to linger and enjoy the ambiance without having to rush down after the light show.

A Late-Night Stroll:

After dinner, I took my time strolling through the Champ de Mars gardens at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, enjoying the cool night air and the illuminated beauty of the tower. Finally, I made my way back to my hotel via the Metro, arriving around 11:30 PM.

Souvenirs & Safety:

Before leaving the Eiffel Tower area, I picked up a few souvenirs. There are many shops near the tower offering a variety of Eiffel Tower-themed items. However, be mindful of your belongings, especially in crowded areas. Pickpockets are unfortunately a reality in tourist hotspots.

Advice for Viewers:

Book your Eiffel Tower tickets online in advance, especially if you're visiting during peak season or want to go to the summit.
Arrive early to avoid long queues.
Be prepared for security checks.
Wear comfortable shoes.
Keep an eye on your belongings.
Check the weather forecast before your visit.
Most importantly, enjoy the experience!

My Personal Reflection

Standing at the summit of the Eiffel Tower, surrounded by the twinkling lights of Paris, I felt a sense of peace and wonder. This second visit was even more special than the first. It was a reminder that dreams can be realized, and that even the most iconic landmarks can offer new experiences with each visit. The Eiffel Tower, with its history, its beauty, and its magic, will always hold a special place in my heart.
