My lawn was DESTROYED | Fall Renovation Starts NOW

Join me for a full backyard lawn renovation! In this video, I take you through my process of reviving a section of my lawn that was damaged by hot weather and humidity. I'm just a homeowner sharing my journey, so this isn't a "how-to" guide, but hopefully, it's entertaining and helpful to see my approach.

What I did in this lawn renovation:

Scalping: I used a John Deere X758 mower to cut the grass down to about an inch to prep the area.
Scarification: I used a slice seeder (Bluebird seed slicer) to remove thatch, mold, and mildew from the lawn.
Seeding: I seeded with Jonathan Green Black Beauty original elite tall fescue blend, applying it by hand for thorough coverage.
Top Dressing: I applied Scotts Turf Builder lawn soil as a top dressing with a Simpo soil spreader.

As fall approaches, I'm hoping for great results with the expected rain and cooler temperatures. I'll be waiting to see how the lawn responds!
