Something Criminal S02 E02 Chris Watts Part One: Shanann Watts

SME has decided that 13 seconds of Kenny Loggins in the background is worth their time, waiting until the last day to respond to the claim. I have been forced to trim it off. I apologize for the likely jarring experience at the beginning of the video.

Truly, the divide between school and this project has me worn very thin. I rushed to release this before the Netflix special launched, admittedly I don't intend on watching that series until I have completed my own. I feel as though, however, rather than rush the next 2 parts, I should give it the proper attention each episode needs. Sadly, this limits my available time severely, and apologize in advance while I juggle Real World Responsibilities, and this passion project called Something Criminal.

This quick edit has also showed me I need to learn how to punch edit voiceovers.

Thank you all for your patience while I completed this saga! Admittedly I have felt under extraordinary pressure due to the delicate and high profile nature of this case, with so much to cover, choosing the right narrative was incredibly hard. With the Netflix series soon to launch, I rushed to complete this episode, editing down long segments to focus on the bigger picture.

Part Two is written, and pieced together, it likely won’t be finished until the Netflix series airs… It is a high likelihood I won’t watch that series until well after publishing the completion of this saga.

I have been working on this episode, almost from the beginning, way back in episode 1. I realized fairly quickly how much content there was to review, and that there were multiple stories and observations to highlight, quickly, my script became convoluted and far too busy, at almost 2 hours and I had yet to include the interrogation and body cam footage.

Tuesday August 14th, 2018, a 15 week pregnant Shanann Watts and her 2 children are officially announced missing, drawing the attention of the police, FBI, and gaining immediate national attention as the investigation began… All 3 entities beginning at full force, the search for Shannan, Celeste and Bella, was ready nearing a climactic end.

In this episode, we will take a look at the life of Shanann, the ambitious and modest homemaker whose love and dedication to family would be carelessly discarded by the man she loved and married. Under perpetual financial stress, lost in the dream of infinite cash flow through an MLM and the struggles of fighting to keep an unfaithful husband, Shanann, her 2 daughters and unborn child would tragically lose their lives when the man they trusted most suddenly snapped, in this, part one of the Watts Family Murders, with Something Criminal.
