It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas - Animated Short Film with Lumion 11

**Please Read Description:
I hope you all had a peaceful and blessed holiday season and are ready for this upcoming year! This video was supposed to drop on Christmas Day, but got severely delayed because it took over 5 days for this video to render on Lumion... you read that right, 5 days!
I modeled over 90 percent of this model from scratch including the fireplace, the table with the cookies on top and the details for the windows and doors. I purchased the tree on CGtrader.com and got my couches, pillows and blankets there as well. I imported nearly all of my furniture into Lumion to have greater control over the textures and materials. I made some of the materials in Photopshop and the rest I downloaded high quality maps; I used little to none of the default materials within Lumion too.


I hope you enjoy my Christmas Cabin Animated Short! I created a video animation with the latest version of Lumion! This was perhaps one of my most realistic interior renders with Lumion, but even this I am hoping to improve in the future. Keep reading for more details.

1) Inspiration: I was listening to Michael Buble's cover on "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas," when the idea for this video sparked in my head! Also, seeing a lot of great Lumion animations on youtube inspired me to do the same. I wanted my video to capture "That Christmas Feeling." It looks a lot like Christmas


2) Project Duration: 1 week and 4 days + 5 days to render
3) Render Time: 128 Hours 22 Minutes and 16 Seconds
4) Programs used: Rhino 6 and Lumion 11 | Adobe Premiere Pro to edit
5) Output: Quad HD 2560 x 1440p - 4 Stars 8x Anti Aliasing | Final render 4K
