SLOW RUSSIAN VLOG// Exploring Saint-Petersburg

I love Saint Petersburg and want to share with you some moments from my trip. Below, I’ll leave explanations for some moments and words that might not be clear:

Доходный дом (income house) — an apartment building whose flats were rented out. It belonged to a single owner and was built specifically to generate income. Such buildings were typical between 1790 and 1917.

Купец (merchant) — something like a modern entrepreneur in pre-revolutionary Russia. Nowadays, this word is used only in a historical context.

Анна Каренина (Anna Karenina) — the main character of the novel of the same name by Leo Tolstoy, one of the most famous books in Russian literature. No spoilers, but she has a special connection with trains. If you know, you know.

Павел Дуров (Pavel Durov) — a Russian entrepreneur in the field of information technology, founder of the social network “VKontakte” and the cross-platform messenger Telegram.
