I'm sure we all have a Fantasy Final KISS show. Mine would go like this...
Part 1: 1 hour truncated EOTR show with full makeup and costumes (but no "Beth" or smoking guitar solo)
After the last song Paul, Gene, Tommy and Eric rush backstage and remove their makeup and get into street/stage clothes. While this is happening a video montage plays on the big screens. This goes from the birth of KISS up to Dynasty and gets the crowd pumped for the original 4.
Part 2: A single spotlight appears on the dark stage showing Peter sitting center stage his floortom-stool. "Beth' begins to play as the crowd goes nuts. He sings to the full-length backing track; the middle instrumental section gives him time to throw out roses to the fist couple rows. A synced video accompanies this showing him singing "Beth" live throughout the years (see: Roger Waters singing "Mother" during latter-day Wall tours). When the song ends, we see a spotlight on Ace who rips into his guitar solo including his smoking guitar and rockets along with video clips of his guitar solos from the KISS years.
After this, Paul and Gene enter in regular stage clothes as we see Peter behind one of two drum kits onstage. The band runs through a version of "Hard Luck Woman" with Peter singing and drumming. Next, we get one more song from the original 4 with Ace singing ("NYG" would be appropriate assuming this last show in in their hometown). Both have pretty low-key drum parts so no issues for Peter)
Part 3: The stage goes dark again, and we hear Vinnie's screaming guitar as he appears in spotlight. As he plays his solo, a montage of his time in KISS plays on the big screens. After a couple minutes of Vinnie soloing (don't make Paul get "the hook", haha) we see Eric S sitting behind the 2nd drum kit as he starts to play the opening drum beat to "ILIL". Vinnie continues to solo over the beat as Gene and Paul come back out and do this song followed by "War Machine" and "LIU" with Vinnie and Eric S.
Part 4: A video montage plays showing Eric Carr and Mark St. John as a memorial to their time in the band. During this Vinnie exits while PG&E wait on the dark stage. After the video, Paul introduces Bruce (to HUGE applause). This pre-Reunion line-up does 4 songs to highlight the "no-makeup" years.
Part 5: Encores: After the PGB&E lineup finishes, they are once again joined by Ace, Peter (behind his kit), Vinnie and also Tommy. The crowd is treated to a version of "Black Diamond" and finally "RARAN" featuring all living members of KISS, plus Eric C via video screen as he "sings" part of "Black Diamond". This would be the perfect end to the final show, IMO. "RARAN" in NYC with all members putting aside their differences in order to celebrate KISS and each of their contributions to the history of the band. I'd have Tommy do the solo on "RARAN".
Now, we all know this or something like it will probably never, ever happen, but a KISS fan can still dream, right?
Here is a mix I put together (not easy) of how I could see the big finale going down (or "Black Diamond" anyhow). This the eternal ending-before-the real-ending that is packed full of a little something for each member to get a bit of the spotlight. Also, since the band has been playing to a click track for years, it would no problem to sync video to different parts of the performance.
