Rahab was a Canaanite prostitute living in the walls of Jericho when the two Israelite spies arrived, yet in a stunning act of faith, she hid them from the king’s soldiers, declaring, “I know that the Lord has given you the land… for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath” (Joshua 2:9–11).
