This is the five-string version of a model inspired by a classic bass with an immense tonal repertoire that can be heard on countless recordings, all the way from Rage Against the Machine to the soulful pop of Sade! Just like the legendary American original, the MB-5’s punchy-sounding humbucker in the bridge position (no active electronics here) delivers a wide range of tones, all the way from an elegant growl to a wall-shaking grunt depending on your settings and playing style. But here’s the kicker: The pickup can be used in split mode via the two volume controls, giving you even more flexibility! The body’s basswood construction helps reduce the overall weight and loading on your shoulder. Adhering to decades of tradition, this instrument has has a bolt-on maple neck and a maple fretboard loaded with 21 frets, while the 3-Tone Sunburst finish exudes cool vintage charm.
