Frigiliana is located in the province of Málaga, it is part of the autonomous community of Andalucía in southern Spain. The municipality is situated approximately 71 kilometers east of Málaga, the provincial capital, and approximately 6 kilometers north of Nerja.

This well-preserved village is a labyrinth of charming narrow whitewashed streets with old Andalusian houses. Around the village are a series of tiled wall displays telling the story of the village during the Moorish occupation and the Reconquista (the expulsion of the moors from Spain).

Frigiliana is one of the oldest places on the Andalusian coast whose traces go back to the Phoenicians and the Romans. Over the millennia, many cultures have left their traces in Frigiliana so that the place is also known as the village of three cultures. What is meant by this is the Muslim, the Jewish and finally the Christian culture.

Here are some things to do in Frigiliana:
1. Explore the Old Town and enjoy the various viewpoints in the area
2. Try tapas and sweet wines from different restaurants and tapas bars in town
3. Check out different arts and crafts stores
4. Visit Palace of the Counts of Frigiliana or "El Ingenio"
5. Go hiking in one of the three beautiful hiking trails in Frigiliana
