This video will show you how to replace the purge valve in your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3. this process can work for many vehicles and can sometimes be the reason for the P0420 code
A bad purge valve can cause rough idling, hard starts, poor fuel economy, and trigger the check engine light. Replacing it restores proper fuel vapor flow, improves performance, and reduces emissions.
