US President Trump Revokes South Africa’s G20 Invite; Ramaphosa Calls Move ‘Regrettable’

US President Donald Trump has announced that South Africa will be excluded from the 2026 G20 summit in Miami, citing a refusal to hand over the presidency to a US official. President Trump stated, 'Therefore, at my direction, South Africa will not be receiving an invitation to the 2026 G20, which will be hosted in the great city of Miami in Florida next year.' South African President Cyril Ramaphosa termed the decision 'regrettable' and denied allegations regarding the treatment of white minorities. The bulletin also covers US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's visit to the Dominican Republic to strengthen anti-narcotics operations and the continued imprisonment of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
