“Leopold Senghor & Steve Biko: The Citationality of Black Consciousness"
This paper argues for the concept of the thesis as the analytical fold that yields Black Consciousness. By examining citationality as the practice, the investigation ensues in terms of understanding the connection between Negritude and Black Consciousness. This is based on the dialectic of the concept of intention and tension. Further, there will be an examination of the ways in which Senghor and Biko are located as moving towards a thesis. This movement engages how Biko cited Senghor in the articulation of the philosophy of Black Consciousness where a thetic manifests into a thesis.
