International education consultant Tom Sherrington will explore how the Walkthrus approach can enhance high-ability teaching and align with the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM) 2.0. Drawing on decades of experience supporting schools worldwide, Tom will demonstrate how structured, evidence-informed teaching frameworks can build teacher capacity to respond and adapt for challenge, engagement, and student agency.
This keynote will also highlight how professional collaboration and peer-to-peer learning can strengthen consistency and impact across schools—supporting both high-ability learners and the teachers who inspire them.
Tom Sherrington is a former headteacher with over 30 years’ experience in schools, now working as an education consultant and conference speaker. He is the author of The Learning Rainforest, Rosenshine’s Principles in Action, and the “WalkThrus” series, and supports schools with curriculum, assessment, and teacher development.
