My name is Derek Stefureac and this video is part of my submission to the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest altitude (elevation) theatrical performance on land. On May 28, 2023 at approximately 1:30pm local time, I performed a musical comedy Elvis/Mt Everest Tribute on the famous Everest Base Camp Rock. The performance is a version of the Quiddlers Comedy Troupe’s “Elfis” act. I re-wrote the lyrics of ‘Viva Las Vegas’ to be ‘Viva Mt Everest’ as a tribute to the 70th anniversary of the first two people to reach the summit of Mt Everest. The elevation painted on the rock states 5364 meters (17,598 feet) above sea level. I believe that the performance being on top of the rock is actually being performed at 5366 meters lol!
