Your delay pedal is a songwriting goldmine

Delay pedals are awesome, from slapback to dotted eights to multi-tap ambient deliciousness - but they're not just an effect to slap onto your guitar sound to give it some gravitas, but also a powerful tool for composition. Queen, Brian Eno, Robert Fripp, The Edge from U2 and so many more have integrated delay into their songwriting to great effect, and creative delay pedal usage could be the secret ingredient you're looking for to inspire your next run of creative inspiration!

And yes, I'm basically making videos to justify buying gear and buying gear to justify making videos... I'm a big fan of my TC Electronics Flashback II, but these delay tips are not specific to that pedal - have a play around with yours and see what it gives you!

(Also, forgive the slightly weird framing - getting used to a new setup! Fortunately, what I'm playing on the guitar isn't really the important thing in this video, so you're not missing much...)
