In lieu of the recent passing of Austins beloved bass player Speedy Sparks I'm sharing this video shot a the Saxon Pub about a year & a half ago. Written by D Sahm, first released Feb 1965 stateside on Tribe records as The Sir Douglas Quintet & by London records on April 23, 1965 with a groovy garage rock Tex-Mex vibe, named the number 1 Tx song by Texas Monthly it peaked a 13 on the Billboard hot 100 & No 15 on UKs singles chart. The Austin music scene was devastated by Sahm's early passing on Nov 18, 1999 at age 58, Godspeed to both Sparks & Sahm. single camera video shot with a Canon VIXIA HF G60
