I've been struggling for hours reaching Emerald whenever I had few good races only to then get kicked into the ground in result of going back to where I started. Sure I'm still using the meta gadget build but you can tell why everyone uses it because the brutality of these items and the amount of panic I get when a Dark Portal's above me or a Glove, Slicer or King Boom Boo heading to me when I often don't have my Level 4 ready because how many times I'm spam chaining them to try get away from everyone behind me.
