We'll show you Thunder Ridge Campground and Meadow Ridge Campground above Rampart Reservoir, Colorado. Plus, we'll take you on a tour of Promontory Point Picnic Area and a trail beside the lake. Welcome to Wander Wonders. I'm Trisha and along with my husband, Randy, we camped at both campgrounds at Rampart Reservoir just outside Colorado Springs. The dispersed camping spots were full so we headed into beautiful campgrounds. Our site, surrounded by aspen trees which were beginning to turn brilliant gold in late September, overlooked the deep sapphire blue lake. The area offers hiking, biking, and small craft boating (no swimming) amongst the huge boulders that decorate the water's edge. In this video, we also tour the picnic area and hike around portions of the lake. It's like a huge playground here! Join us!!!
