I made this magnetic Grinding holder a few years ago and I've really have used it a lot. So I figured I would share this simple but very useful tool. For the plank I used Baltic Birch plywood (16"x 4") because it's very strong and also the 3/4 inch ply is very close to the thickness you need to match the magnets depth. I used the 150 magswitch from @MagswitchTechnologies Like I said in to video 1 5/8 forstner bit is very close to what you need for the magnet holes but 40 mm bit would be ideal. For years I use this with just two magnets to hold the metal down and a clamp to fasten it to the table. This way you'll only need to buy two magswitchs or go with the deluxe one with three magnetics. Have fun with this simple but very useful build and be safe.
